Lot #12 - John Lennon Dual Signed Canceled Check PSA/DNA

This check has been deemed Authentic by the Leading Authentication Company, PSA/DNA. John Lennon checks are very tough to come by in this day and age. Many people who collect this type of Beatles memorabilia have absorbed what has been out there and there has been no offerings of such a check on the market which has been double signed. This is truly the best of the best when it comes to a double signed check signed by this Legend-TWICE!!!!. Drawn off DISTRICT BANK LIMITED and written out to: CASH in the amount of $200 POUNDS. A true piece of historical signed memorabilia from this Beatle! What makes this check VERY SCARCE and historical is that it has notes hand written by Lennon on the back which we have posted. One day after this check was written, in one of their more peculiar publicity stunts, John Lennon and Yoko Ono exchanged a bag of their shorn hair for a pair of Muhammad Ali's bloodstained boxing shorts. The exchange happened on the rooftop of a single-story workshop at the back of The Black Centre, situated at 95-99 Holloway Road, London. The centre was the headquarters of a number of committees and movements, headed by activist Michael X, born Michael de Freitas in Trinidad in 1933, and also known as Michael Abdul Malik and Abdul Malik. Lennon and Ono had had their hair shorn in Denmark on January 20th, 1970. Lennon had hoped that the haircuts would allow them to travel incognito for a time, but the news leaked within days. Also printed on the check is J.W. Lennon which ALSO makes this personal check ONE OF A KIND!
